Introducing two groups starting from February 2024

1.Developing Good Relationships: A group to improve interpersonal relationships and communication skills based on Transactional Analysis, with Counselor Miura and Suzuki. Once a month on Saturdays from 2pm to 4pm.

2.The Living with Loss: A group facilitated by Counselor Lorinda Kiyama for people who have experienced loss to live their own way. Online, twice a month on the first and third Fridays from 7:30 to 8:50.

Our supportive small groups provide a safe space where you can explore your journey at your own pace.

Feel free to be yourself completely, without judgment. We encourage open and honest

sharing, so you can gain a deeper understanding of your experiences.

Through this process, you'll discover a newfound appreciation for your life and develop

the tools to create a future you love.

◆We offer our most sincere condolences and wish a speedy recovery to the victims of the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

Due to the circumstances, you may feel even more anxious because of the unusual state of your mind and body. Please accept whatever that is happening to you as it is part of the recovery process. Each person's pace is different, but the mind is always changing through a process of survival and further growth. Be on your side. Know that you are not alone.
Attached is a leaflet titled "Disasters and Developmental Disabilities" that was distributed in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. I hope it will be of some help.

Regarding BONDS

BONDS, meaning "to connect," fosters a space where psychologists with professional skills and up-to-date knowledge can connect with individuals seeking professional support. We go beyond that, aiming to explore and expand the possibilities of deeper connections. We see each other as unique individuals with value and importance, regardless of background. This includes embracing diversity across cultures, ethnicities, genders, abilities, and any other classifications.

BONDS inherits the spirit of Tokyo Counseling Services created by Mr. Andrew Grimes and Ms. Junko Kimura, who met Dr. Noboru Hozumi, a psychiatrist who provided psychological support that emphasized the value of each individual, and who continued to train as psychologists helping each person live as the hero in their own life.

At BONDS, we value "diversity". We value the diversity of our encounters.
We respect the individual histories and cultures in which they have lived, and provide counseling in Japanese, Korean, English, German, and other languages, with a variety of approaches such as psychoanalysis, person-centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, interaction analysis, and integrative psychotherapy. We also provide professional services such as EAP, supervision and consultation.

Appointments on weekends, holidays, and late evenings are available as well as on weekdays. Counseling is available in-person and online.

Preventative Measures For COVID-19

Alcohol disinfectant is installed at the entrance of BONDS, in each room, and in the washroom. We thoroughly try to ventilate the rooms and disinfect our hands.
